AfterOmegle needs access to your camera and microphone to start random video chat. Camera and microphone permissions are controlled by your browser and device, not directly by AfterOmegle. This page explains how to allow access, fix common permission issues, choose the right device, and improve your video chat experience.

Quick Checklist

If your camera or microphone is not working, try these first:

For the best experience, use an updated version of Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox.

Why AfterOmegle Requests Camera and Microphone Access

AfterOmegle is a browser-based random video chat platform. To connect you with another user through live video and audio, your browser needs permission to use your camera and microphone. Video is sent directly between users through WebRTC peer-to-peer connections, so no video passes through AfterOmegle servers.

You can block, allow, or revoke these permissions at any time through your browser or device settings. If camera or microphone access is blocked, video chat may not start or the other person may not be able to see or hear you.

How to Allow Camera and Microphone Access

When you start a video chat, your browser may show a permission prompt asking whether AfterOmegle can use your camera and microphone. Choose Allow to continue.

If you accidentally chose Block, you can usually fix it by:

  1. Clicking the lock icon near the address bar.
  2. Opening site settings or permissions.
