• IP address — Used temporarily for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Not stored permanently.
• Browser type and device info — Used for compatibility and performance optimization.
• Connection metadata — Timestamps and session duration for service reliability.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Chat messages — conversations are never stored or logged
• Video or audio streams — never recorded
• Browsing history or tracking cookies
• Location data beyond what your IP reveals
• Personal identification information

How We Use Data

The minimal data we collect is used exclusively for:

• Matching you with other users
• Preventing abuse and spam (rate limiting)
• Maintaining service reliability
• Aggregate analytics (total users online, etc.)

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. We do not use advertising trackers. We do not integrate with data brokers.

Cookies and Local Storage

RandomChat uses browser local storage to remember your preferences (theme, sound settings, age verification). These are stored only on your device and are never sent to our servers.

Data Retention

Session data is deleted when you disconnect. Rate limiting data is purged automatically. We do not maintain long-term records of user activity.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to request deletion of. You can clear local storage in your browser settings at any time.

Children's Privacy
